I made these cakes for a little girl named Carringtyn.  She's turning one this weekend.  She's an angel/rebel, hence the theme. Each layer of her cake is different flavor.  On top, we have a chocolate/caramel cake with caramel butter cream frosting. The middle is strawberry with chocolate butter cream (like a chocolate-covered strawberry).  The bottom is a white chocolate cake with raspberry butter cream.  And the little baby cake, which was made for the birthday girl, is a vanilla cake with vanilla butter cream.  Happy 1st Birthday!

Classic Movie Cake for Grandpa

This cake for was made for my Grandpa's 85th birthday.  He loves to sit in the recliner and watch old movies on TMC.  So ... I made him a cake to reflect his favorite pass time.  It's an Irish Car Bomb cake, because he's Irish and his birthday is close to St. Patty's Day.  This is a chocolate cake that was made with Guinness Beer, Irish whiskey and the butter cream frosting is made with Bailey Irish Cream. The best part was, I covered the cake board with all of Gramps' favorite movie posters.  He loved it!!

I made this cake for my friend Erin's birthday.  It's a chocolate/peanut butter cake with peanut butter butter cream frosting with a martini theme.  The martini is covered in pearl dust to give it a fun, glittery finish.

Beatles Yellow Submarine Cake

Yellow Submarine Cake IV
Yellow Submarine Cake III

Yellow Submarine Cake II

Yellow Submarine Cake I

This was one of my favorite cakes!  What a rockin' theme for a birthday.  I made this for my friend's dad's birthday. He's a big Beatles fan, hence the "Yellow Submarine." It's a white chocolate double-layer cake with raspberry butter cream frosting, all covered in fondant. All the decorations are fondant, too. But the best part is inside --- I put the batter in three bowls and added colors to each bowl.  Then I added a little of each color to the cake pans, and swirled them into a bright dye-tied pattern.   Have a great day, Mikey.  I hope your birthday rocks!!
